We welcome new members!

The American Legion Family is made up of three internal organizations:

  1. The American Legion (AL) - the lead lead organization

  2. The Sons of the American Legion (SAL)

  3. The American Legion Auxiliary (ALA)

  4. The American Legion Riders (ALR)

Eligibility for AL Membership

Eligibility for AL membership has recently been expanded to anyone who has served in the Armed Forces. All it takes is completion of an application, proof of service, and membership dues.

Eligibility for SAL Membership

Eligibility for SAL membership is open to any son who has had a Father or Grandfather that has served in the Armed Forces. A simple application and verification of service is required.

Eligibility for ALA Membership

Eligibility for ALA membership is open to any spouse (male or female) widow, daughter, or granddaughter who has had a family member serve in the Armed Forces.

Eligibility for ALR Membership

Eligibility for membership in the ALR includes members of the American Legion, SAL, or ALA in good standing.  They must be a legally registered motorcycle owner. Post members who meet these requirements are encouraged to open a ALR chapter at their home post, if none exists.

“Friends of the Post”

While there is no formal membership for “Friends of the Post,” we welcome volunteers that would like to assist with many of our program in the community.

Come by for membership materials or volunteer opportunities! Contact Dan Bullis for more information!

Join Post 41 as a Legionnaire, an SAL member, an ALA member, or an ALR member!
